In
the summer of 2012 Tom Hernon will navigate a 26 foot boat
through "The North West Passage". Over the next 2 years Tom
and his son Thomas will be figuring out the linguistics and
will be outfitting and customizing a 26 Foot Power
Sailor
with solar power panels, electric motors, navigation
equipment, hand crank generator system, navigation system and

The
Boat

Tom and Thomas will
be converting a 26 Foot MacGregor
Power Sailor for the trip. Their plan is to use the
60hp out board, wind, a hand crank generator
system, solar power panels and electric motors.
The deck and cabin
will be made fully accessible, sealed and updated with
navigation equipment and dry storage for the month long
adventure.
