Muskegon Winter Sports Complex is now home to the worlds first adaptive luge team. We are looking for paraplegics and quadriplegics that want to have fun in our adult race league. The team will be racing at the Muskegon Luge Track on Tuesday nights and a few open races. Our team has some fast sliders and a real chance to win a championship over able body teams. There are also some oppertunties to race in the short track National Championship and in Club races in Park City UT, Lake Placed NY or Calgary Canada.
This is our 5th year of adaptive luge at the Muskegon Luge Track, our goal is to offer adaptive lessons and equipment during all of our Luge and XC Skiing programs. We are working hard to make that a reality. We still have 82 steps in our way and will get around them via snowmobile and sit ski this year. We are currently raising money to install a lift system or a tow rope...
Once Adaptive luge becomes a Para Olympic sport our program will be the first step athletes take to make the US Para-Olympic Luge Team ...
